3.7) Modules: Commands
Some useful module commands are summarised below:

module | shows the options available for use with the module command |
module list | to display which modules are currently loaded |
module whatis | gives a one line description of all available modules |
module help <module_name> | gives more information about the module |
module avail | to list all available modules (without a description) |
module load <module_name>ORmodule add <module_name> | loads a particular module |
module unload <module_name>ORmodule rm <module_name> | unloads a particular module |
module switch <old_module> <new_module> | switches between the similar or conflicting modules |
module show <module_name> | shows what environment variables will be set if a particular module were to be loaded |
module purge | removes "all" currently loaded modules (use with care) |
