2.3) User Interface: Command Window

  • Perhaps the most useful window is the Command Window. It is useful if you want to use Matlab as a powerful scientific calculator or as a sophisticated graphing tool
  • The >> is the command prompt
  • You enter commands immediately after the command prompt
  • Once you have typed your command, press <Enter> and Matlab will execute your command and return the result
  • You can test Matlab code here as you develop Matlab scripts and functions
  • To interrupt (or stop) Matlab press  <Control> and  <c> simultaneously
