1.5) The Observer Perspective


Taking a more analytical view we can say, that for a "purposeful simplified representation" an observer B has a question about object A (i.e. his problem, say aerodynamics) and he uses a simplified (i.e. regarding that purpose) model A* to answer that question.

"To an observer B, an object A* is a model of an object A to the extent that B can use A* to answer questions that interest him about A." (Marven Minsky, MIT, 1968).
