11.1) Your ABM Project

To keep to momentum gained with the course we recommend you work on a modelling project keeping the modelling cycle in mind. So, find an interesting question, formulate a conceptual model, implement the model, run simulation experiments and see what you can learn from the model.

The course book Grimm, V., & Railsback, S. F. (2011) “Agent-Based and Individual-Based Modeling: A Practical Introduction” is as an excellent self study guide for further introduction into NetLogo for agent-based modelling, and will provide you with a wealth of examples to work through.
