Holly Edwards

I am a PhD student in the Doctoral Training Centre for Low Carbon Technologies. My research focusses on reducing carbon emissions from aviation by controlling the speed of aircraft. This involves modelling flights using the Cost Index, which balances fuel use with time dependent operating costs. The aim is for my research to result in more advanced practical applications of the tool and this is being achieved, in part, by working with the airline Cathay Pacific.
