Dr. Mike Gillard

I'm Dr Mike Gillard, a research fellow in the school of Mathematics and member of the Geometry research group. I am interested in Topological solitons which arise as stable solutions of some field theories described by non-linear partial differential equations.

I work day to day on UNIX systems to write programs in python and C++ that run on both HPC and local machines to solve complex mathematical problems. I have also developed in C++ commercially for UNIX and Windows platforms.
