2.2) Positive Feedback Loops


The simplest addition we can make to the basic causal triplet is to add another causal relation:

As well as the original positive relation from A to B, we now have a positive relation from B to A. This forms a positive feedback loop – an increase in A causes an increase in B, which in turn causes an increase in A. This is a Positive Feedback Loop.

In a Positive Feedback Loop the feedback changes the outcome in the same direction as the original outcome. More leads to more, less to less.
