4.1) Typical Behaviours
In the following section, we will look at some common structural elements of system dynamics models and the types of behaviours they lead to. The behaviours we will look at are:
- Linear growth
- Exponential growth
- Logistic growth
- Delay, Overshoot and Oscillation
- Overshoot with collapse
These increase with complexity and encompass the most commonly observed behaviours of real world systems.
