4.2) Linear Growth


The simplest behaviour type results from the simplest combination of a single constant flow and a stock:

Provided the flow is a constant, this is described by the equation:

Stock = Flow × time + initial_value

Examples of this behaviour include a bank account where £100 is deposited every month (and no interest is paid), or a mine from which a constant 1000 tonnes of copper are extracted each year.
